Lehel.Art has a strong commitment and sense of responsibility towards both established and emerging artists, supporting them to bring their unique art and diverse range of concepts to light. Our aim is to amplify the voices of our artists through our compelling programme of exhibitions, events, publications, public commissions and online presence. We curate and organise exhibitions at various locations and facilitate collaborations between artists and potential private and public clients. Additionally, we support private and corporate collectors in building, expanding and shaping their contemporary art collections.
Dr. Thomas Kuhmann
Managing Director
Entrepreneur, father of four, international regatta sailor, lover of classic boats and collector of contemporary art for over 40 years, Thomas Kuhmann is the founder of Lehel.Art. By curating outstanding global art exhibitions and events, promoting promising emerging artists, brokering connections between artists and collectors, and empowering the next generation of young collectors to break new ground, he and his congenial Lehel.Art team aim to set new trends and standards in what is often a complex and confusing art world.
Iris von der Tann
Artistic Director
Iris von der Tann is the head and heart of Lehel.Art. A curator and cultural manager, she is an expert in visual and interdisciplinary contemporary art. For more than 25 years, she has been advising companies and governmental organisations on the development and implementation of art concepts for buildings and public spaces. In this role, she was responsible for producing numerous art projects, including for the German Bundestag, the Bundesrat and the ARD Capital Studio. Iris von der Tann has edited various artist monographs and exhibition catalogues. She conceptualises and curates exhibitions for Lehel.Art, and works passionately and imaginatively to grow the portfolio of artists at Lehel.Art to inspire potential collectors and partners.
Sabine Schaefer-Gaiser
Senior Editor
Sabine Schaefer-Gaiser works as an author, chief editor and editorial director for renowned German publishers and agencies. An experienced journalist, she has specialised in culture for many years and loves writing about contemporary design, architecture and, most of all, art. For Lehel.Art, she is responsible for editing and writing the newsletter, magazine and website. In this role, her aim is to work with the team to raise the profile of Lehel.Art and communicate the great potential of the company’s vision to artists, collectors and art enthusiasts.
