ERNST HESSE

Ernst Hesse is a sculptor, object artist and draughtsman. He works with the media of photography, video and language. His sculptural works in iron and bronze are based on elementary forms. A key aspect of his work is his engagement with other cultural spheres, which he explores through his numerous travels. Ernst Hesse’s works have been exhibited internationally in museums and galleries. In public spaces, his sculptures can be found both in urban settings and in natural surroundings. His most recent solo exhibitions were on display in St. Katharinen, Hamburg, at Reuschenberg Castle, Wurzeln & Flügel e.V. Neuss, and at the Anna Marie Troner Gallery in Düsseldorf.
He lives and works in Düsseldorf and elsewhere.
