Alix Stadtbäumer is a sculptor. This background also shapes her artistic approach in her large-format woodblock prints. The printing block itself is a work of art. With her series „Rare Earths“, she refers to the endangered European oyster, whose fragmented and decaying structures serve as inspiration for her woodcuts. The artist lives and works in Munich. In 2025, she received a scholarship from the Kunstfonds Foundation and was invited to an artist residency at Ricklundgården in Lapland, Sweden.
