Lehel.Art is a platform for new ideas. We curate art exhibitions in various locations – outdoor and indoor spaces, factory halls and landscaped parks, churches and bars. Our exhibition concepts reflect the diversity of our artists and bring them into an interdisciplinary dialogue. For us, sustainability means preserving works that have evolved over decades and making them more visible. We support collectors in building cohesive collections.

BETWEEN / BEYOND. OBJECTS BETWEEN BODY AND SPACE
A collaboration between Lehel.Art and Galerie Stefan Vogdt, Munich

Where does the body end and space begin—and what role do objects play in this intermediate realm? The exhibition BETWEEN / BEYOND presents jewelry and objects at the interface between art and craft. Designer jewelry meets small sculptures and wall objects – works that oscillate between wearability and autonomous form and transcend their functional purpose. Feather objects between fashion and sculpture expand the spectrum to include textile positions.
All the works on display are connected by the question of the relationship between body, object, and space: What happens when jewelry becomes a sculptural statement? When does the wearable become an independent work of art?

With: Julian Billmair, Timea Busch, Denis Klausmann, Manfred Peckl, Alessandra Piazza, Mara Pollak, Ayaka Terajima, Takayoshi Terajima and Maike Weyrich

Art Consulting

Lehel.art is a corporation that advises companies, as well as private and institutional clients. We support private collectors and companies in building, growing and organising their individual art collections. Art investments are usually driven by personal interests and preferences, which is why offering our clients bespoke consultation is important to us. We love sharing our knowledge about the latest developments in the art market and maintain regular dialogue not only with a variety of artists, but also with collectors, auctioneers and gallerists. We focus on establishing growing collaborations between our artists and potential brands, companies, developers, architects and designers.

In collaboration with our artists and partner galleries, we provide insights into current trends in art production, encouraging compelling interdisciplinary dialogues and establishing customised thematic focuses for companies and brands. Embracing visual and applied arts, sound and text as artistic practices, we are committed to boldly exploring alternative pathways and building bridges between artistic disciplines.

Thinking Skin / In Between

‘Even if AI itself does not (yet) produce solo exhibitions in museums, it remains exciting to see what works of art human artists will develop in collaboration with, and in dialogue with, AI.’ (Gina Merz)

Machine learning is omnipresent today and permeates almost all areas of our human coexistence, both in the private and public spheres. In Between subtly traces moments of transition in cultural practices, explores the overwriting of identities and makes a passionate case for the rewriting of memories and history. On display are author’s jewellery, collages, prints and photographs that deal with questions of AI-based art, as well as projections and book projects that address the intersections of language, music and digital visuals.

Exhibition by Lehel.Art, curated by Iris von der Tann.
Bankhaus Donner & Reuschel Munich, 8 to 25 November 2024
Artists: Julian Billmair, bookbridge/Monika Czernin and Melissa Müller, jink.one, Gina Merz, Mara Pollak, Takayoshi Terajima
